In the UK, a licensed accountant is a demonstrably qualified professional accountant who is a member of a licensing body such as the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) or the IAB (Institute of Accountants & Bookkeepers).

They are equipped to perform a variety of accounting tasks across sectors, including financial reporting, taxation, corporate finance, and management accounting. However, unlike Chartered Accountants, Licensed Accountants are not permitted to perform audit work.
